Our house is not the same without your happy face, missing you heaps Dean.  I’m feeling very sad that you were robbed of quality time with your kids. I gave Jasmine the watch you saved for her and had it engraved just as we had talked about. She loved it. Carol tells me feeling sad for your family. Love you Dean, until we meet again.  RIP. Dean, you were one of a kind for sure. Such a genuine honest friend. When Dean said he would do something for you or he would catch up with you somewhere he would never let you down no matter what. You might see him hanging on the back of the bus he just missed or he might be bolting across the freeway and up the embankment cause he never wanted to let his mates down. Just thinking back to some of the things we got up to, what a laugh. You will be missed heaps by us all but you will live on for many years through all the great stories that will be told about you. See ya Deano

Here's just one great memory of many !

When the love and kindness of Dean's family helped Dean set up a place to call home in Craigie, he could have and probably should have kept it as his own but that wasn't Dean. He gave so many friends who at some stage of their lives had no where to go, homeless, a place to stay, myself being one of them. But hey that was Dean !

    Luv ya bro. Gaz.

Dean, or should I say Mr Dean,

No words could suffice the man you were, always with the best of hearts and intentions even when things didn't go to plan. Speaking of plans, you ALWAYS had not one plan, but multiple back up plans. It's how we started every "adventure" with a plan hahaha.

So sorry we can't be there on Wednesday to farewell you but know you will be forever in our hearts and memories

Sending so much love to your family

Deano you were my best mate and funniest bloke I ever met. When times were low you knew what to say just to make me laugh, you taught me stuff I never thought I could learn and most of all you were just the best. You still had so much to offer and were taken way too soon.  Love ya Bro.

Well, I always knew Dean Wilson would go out with a bang! I know we argued like cats and dogs but like you said, you only let me speak to you like I did cause you knew I cared. I definitely miss seeing you come through the door or sitting on the couch at our friends house. I miss you every day along with everyone else who knew you and loved you. You were a friend and a brother and as much as you drove me crazy, you can never be replaced. Always in my thoughts and prayers...... till we meet again my friend. Xx

Gee Dean, why I'll never know, I don’t believe it was your time .. I met you when you were 23 and use to fight with you as I thought you were cheeky and you were.. but then over the years you became my mate, always had my back and let no one talk bad about me, even with my big mouth.. only spoke to you a few months ago and was planning on catching up .. you were always a gentleman and I'll always have great respect for you .. condolences to the Wilson family, your children and of course Carol,  who I know loved you dearly... fly high my friend xxx

    Dean,

Mate, out of a swarm of average and sometimes ruthless people in the times and places we knew in the past, you definitely were, without doubt, a breath of fresh air in the way you described aspects of life from your unique perspective.

It was always enlightening and made me happy to know not everyone was doomed to not being able  to have their own inspirational perspective on life, even after going down the path that was not as easy as the masses. We trusted and could always have a laugh with you as you were an insightful guy that we loved a lot, even though you were down you were trying to rebuild  and that's the spirit I knew you to be. You loved your kids, family and friends. I will miss you mate, Julian and Kate North.

    RIP Dean Wilson
