WALKER (JOHN)

4.9.1928 - 14.6.2020 Passed away peacefully aged 91. Beloved husband of Kathleen, adored father of Robert, Lesley and John. Grandfather of 9 and great grandfather of 7.

A life well lived.

WALKER (John):

My dearest Johnny, you were a man for all seasons. You took everything that came your way. You are my heart. Your loving wife Kate

WALKER (John):

Dad, our hearts are in pain but rise when we remember what you have brought to our lives. Your humour, endeavour and fighting spirit, and mostly your love for us all. Thank you for being my Dad, Papa to Sky, Ellen, Clint and Drew and Great-Papa to Adeline. Your love is a glimpse through God's window to Heavenly love and shines upon you now. Love Rob

WALKER (John):

Many wonderful memories of an adventurous and loving Father to Lesley and cherished Father-in-Law to Neil. Cheeky and adored Papa to Blake, Nikki, Parisse, Nick and Sophia. Proud Great-Papa to Isaak and Eli. You have been an inspiration to us all. We love you, rest in peace our hero as you sail into the sunset.

WALKER (John):

Dad/Papa,

You were an essential part of our world. You have always stood by us providing strength, love and support and I can only pray I have inherited some of your strength and wisdom to pass onto my children. You have left us a legacy of memories to cherish forever. With love your son John, daughter in law Lillian, grandchildren Chris and Laura, Jeremy and Tenielle, Belinda and Marcus and those great-grandies you always prayed for, Chase, Bodhi, Austen and Harper. RIP

  • WALKER (John):

Long time family friend of Gary (RE) (dec), Jean, Leanne, Sandra and Richard Arnold, Alice Arnold (dec) and Helen (Arnold) Leach.

Many fond and funny memories of best man Gary and Jean driving John and Mrs Walker across the unsealed Nullarbor with the wedding cake for John's marriage to his beloved Kate, the 'boys' all being allowed into the pubs while 'Shorty' carried his birth certificate even tho he was older than most of them, and selling showbags and eating chocolate at the Royal Show.

A devoted family man who will be greatly missed.

Our deepest sympathy to Kate, Rob, Leslie and Neil, John and Lillian, and families

  • WALKER JOHN Uncle John, we will sadly miss your sense of humour, but you have left us with so many good memories that it has been such a privilege to call you my Uncle. You and Aunty were my second parents and gave me good advice when I asked for it. You always welcomed everyone in our family and all our friends, and they have the upmost respect for you. Life will not be the same without you in this world, but your legacy will be remembered and talked about for many years to come. From me and the rest of the Ogilvie family, we look forward to celebrating those times that we all had together and to the smiles that you bought to our faces.
