WAGER JOHN GILBERT,

PROFESSOR 20.06.1932 - 17.04.2024 Engineer, sailor, educator - but, most of all, father.

Passed away peacefully on 17 April.

Much loved husband of Judith (dec), father of Sue, Peter and Julie, grandfather of Elizabeth, Catherine, Lexi, Charlie and Lucy, great grandfather of Florence and Felix and father-in-law of Richard, Ruth and Spud.

Husband of Coral (dec) and step father of Meredith.

Our thanks to the wonderful staff of Bethanie Subiaco for their love, care and support.

A life lived to the full. We will all miss you so much.

  • WAGER JOHN The Commodore, Flag Officers, Members and Staff of Royal Perth Yacht Club extend their deepest sympathies to John's family for their sad loss. With over 50 years of membership, John's presence on the water was synonymous with excellence and camaraderie. Guiding his cherished yacht, Falcon, through countless regattas and races, he epitomised the spirit of the Thunderbird fleet with his skill, passion and sportsmanship. Beyond his prowess as a sailor, John was cherished for his warmth, kindness and unwavering support of his fellow members. John's contributions to the Thunderbird Fleet and RPYC will forever be remembered with admiration and gratitude. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
