  • WADDELL (Paul):

Just want to thank Anthea, Adrianne and the whole family --for the amazingly different and wonderful Farewell to Paul Gerard Waddell at Fremantle Cemetery Chapel on Friday. Heather and Harry are and were deeply moved by it all - a genuine, truth-telling, loving celebration of their lives with this "nice man".

Yes he was very "nice" , and decent, and a listener, and a goer, and for sure the best-ever Big School Principal that many of us had ever had. They didn't "canonise" him on Friday, they reminded us (nearly 300 gathered) what a good friendly, open, caring, loving, talented and just beautiful bloke he has been. Thanks Anthea and family and Adrianne - a genuine celebration of a good life of a very good human man !!!

Such a sad loss,he was a great mate and true friend who was a talented teacher. We met many years ago whilst teaching at Kalgoorlie SHS and always touched base on a regular basis. Paul’s word was his bond and a truer gentleman was hard to find. Best wishes and condolences to his family from Mike Phillips.

  • WADDELL PAUL GERARD Loving, precious memories of our beautiful brother and brother-in-law, Paul. A gentle, caring and loving man whose love of family, friends and music were pervasive and defined him. His guitar playing was truly a special gift - innate and inspirational; his culinary pursuits enthralled us; and his humour bound us together. We miss you dearly and will always "See You in the Music." Robin (dec) and Bob (dec), John and Jill, Kerry (dec), Chris (dec) and Philo, Marie and David (dec), Judy and Craig, Trish and Deric, Denis and Fran, Brendan and Deanne and all our families.
