We are struggling coming to terms with Victor's sudden passing. A huge void has opened up and we don't know how to cross it. Victor is simply irreplaceable. In his busy life, Victor had time for everyone - a wonderful friend and advisor, a lover of life and people, kind and considerate. He loved Northbridge so much. Everyone needs to meet a Victor in their lifetime. We are so glad we did and will miss him forever.

I first met Victor in 1976 when he was working in West Perth, I think as a new graduate Accountant. Since then we met every year to sort out my tax. Victor was much more than my accountant. He was also my advisor, mentor and friend and he helped my family as well.

After our annual tax meetings, he would treat me to a coffee and we would discuss life, the universe and everything, commiserating over difficulties and celebrating successes. No matter how hard I tried, he would never let me pay for the coffee.

Victor was the kindest person I have ever met and an example to me of how to be a good person

I am so sad at his passing. I can't imagine a world without Victor in it.

Stunned and saddened to learn of Victor's sudden passing. He was my accountant for many years, during which we became friends. Our tax return meet-ups would usually end in a coffee close by Victor's office - and a sweet treat to go with it. Victor always insisted on paying. My attempts to balance the ledger were inevitably rebuffed, so I took to bringing Victor a loaf of my fresh-baked sourdough every year, when attending for my customarily late tax return appointment in March. He was always so obviously delighted and followed up with generous feedback by email.

This typified Victor's generosity of spirit and kind, friendly and gentle manner. I had occasion to be in Northbridge yesterday, and his absence hung heavy in the air. There had always been a fair chance of bumping into him. I will miss him.

My partner Janis and I met Mary and Victor out on the town twice, many years ago - once at a Greek restaurant in Mt Hawthorn, and once late-ish on a weekend night at Gelare in Subi. One of my enduring images of Victor is of his huge enjoyment in licking his icecream that night as we chatted. It typified his love of life and its small pleasures. At least, that's how I saw it.

I'm so sorry for your loss Mary, and family.

Victor, you were my rock. My mentor. My friend. Work buddy for almost 30 years. Flamboyant and unique, your energy drew us all in. Self confident, secure in who you were, you genuinely loved people. Family was your priority and your greatest love. I remember your Dad coming to the office every day with a brown paper bag full of fruit and home made yoghurt your Mum made. You visited your parents every day, leaving the office before 4.30pm to visit them. My heart is broken for your Mum, Dad and sister. Mary, Sofia, Nick, Johnny, Carla and the grandchildren, my love and thoughts are with you all.

Victor, may your energy and spirit live on in all of us. Your family net is cast far and wide, as you touched so many people and influenced their lives during your 68 years. Northbridge will never be the same without you.
