Obituary Guest Book 13 Messages

VERGE RYAN SCOTT 02.08.1978 - 26.09.2019 Our brave, beautiful Ryan passed away at home with his precious girls. He courageously finished his race, strong in his faith, keeping his smile, humour and generous heart until Jesus transferred him from our loving arms into His. Cherished husband full of integrity, love, energy and determination. Loving, devoted Dad full of kindness, encouragement, fun and who gave the best hugs. A tower of strength, showing grace in the face of challenges, inspirational teacher and fiercely loyal friend. Until we are reunited in eternity, how we love and miss you.

Gosh where to begin. So many good memories forest edge camp ( first as campers and later as leaders), followed by easter camps, state youth games and chilling and refereeing at Warwick Leisure Centre and later you coming to the LJBC Ball with me. Who knew then that you would later work there with one of your best friends and partners in crime Lyndon. I will never forget one of my first memories of our friendship was the time we caught the  bus with a group from Warwick train station to the City and then, you, Lyndon and Simon standing in the middle of Hay Street Mall and pointing your fingers to the sky (Kmart pose) and causing all those who walked by to look up to the sky. So funny but also symbolic of you, a real person, who could have good clean fun but always with a greater purpose and always with amazing people on your side😉 So glad God granted us the time to say goodbye in April and that even while I am in Germany I can always look to the sky and smile from so many good memories and knowing you are safe and well in God's hands. Love and miss you heaps and my prayers and love to Belynda, Tarlia and Lilly; Evan, Margaret, Tam and Tash.

  • VERGE (Ryan):  What an amazing man. A wonderful friend to so many, who loved his family and his first words were always “so how are you Chris”. Will miss our chats and talks of faith and the Lord. He is rejoicing with the Lord. My love and prayers to his wonderful family. Treasured memories of our time at the College Ryan, you served well and gave selflessly. Blessings and thanksgiving Christine Bailey.

Ryan was the best friend a bloke could ever want. From basketball, to church, to university, to marrying good friends, to fishing trips, to working together and raising families together.... they were all the best of times. So cruel we don’t get to grow old together.... but the times we had together were 5 star and I loved every minute.

     Miss you mate.

  • VERGE (Ryan):

Way too many good and wonderful things about Ryan. Something for the girls - before the '95 Coffee Shop, Ryan stood in front of the group and stated that he was a virgin and intended to stay that way until his wedding night. It took a great deal of courage to make that statement in front of teenage and young men (and girls). This would typify Ryan in the years to come with the courageous way he fought on.

We are so proud of you Ryan. You were an amazing son, a friend to many, a mentor to students, colleagues and those in need. Determined to do well, Ryan endured pain and suffering quietly with certainty in his faith for the future. We are blessed to have shared his life and we praise God for his faithfulness and witness. Love forever, Mum and Dad
