  • VAISEY (Michael):

I knew Mike since 2005 when Lynas decided to invest and construct the rare earths plant in Malaysia. As an environmental consultant preparing the studies for government approvals, I had the opportunity to work with him until 2014. A fantastic person - kind and sincere, intelligent and an expert in rare earths. He was very well respected - even by senior government officials in Malaysia. His passing is truly a loss but he will be remembered and recognised for the work he had accomplished.

My sincere heartfelt condolences to his family.

I met Mike in 2006 in Shanghai when Rhodia decided to provide technical support for Lynas project, then we had regular meetings in Shanghai office and Engineering office in Beijing.

He was so patient and friendly to understand my Chin-English.

In 2017, Mike visited in La Rochelle plant after his meeting in Germany, we had a very nice time with friends who worked before.

Mike was always positive with smile, and very kind with his team. On behave of all Lynas R&I team who knew Mike, our sincere condolences to Mike’s wife and children.
