    To the Tyler family,

I would like to pass on my sympathies and appreciation to the Tyler family in the passing of Don. Although I only met Don briefly, I was a beneficiary of some of the best school facilities in the state due to his generosity. As a PE teacher with the use of the Tyler-McCusker Sports centre and as a Student Services program coordinator with the use of the Cyril Tyler Auditorium for our presentations. His generosity has enabled significant spaces for the learning and life of our students and the outcomes of their education. Thank you again, Matthew Healy - Associate Principal Student Services - Perth Modern School.

Perth Modernian Society members and Perth Modern School mourn the passing of our Modernian Fellow Don Tyler. We offer our sincere condolences to Don's niece Vanessa. Don was very public about his great affectation for his Alma Mater, and numerous students have, or will benefit in future, from his generous contributions, enabling 15 annual Don Tyler Scholarships and Bursaries. The Tyler- McCusker Sports Centre and the Cyril Tyler Auditorium permanently honour his love of Perth Mod. The Perth Modernian Society Council and Sphinx Foundation Board.

  • TYLER DON The Perth Modern School community mourns the loss of Modernian Don Tyler. A true advocate for the school and its students, Don's generosity extended to various school initiatives. In his later years, Don enjoyed many visits to the school and loved chatting to students. Don was one of life's gentlemen who always sought to 'lift people up.' Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
