TRIGWELLEILEEN (WORSLEY)
Eileen was very proud of her second name ‘Worsley' as she was born in the timber town to parents Patrick and Annie Harnett who established timber mills, homes and employed hundreds of workers. Her attachment also was to the Worsley Church where the family history can be found. Eileen grew up amongst her brothers and sisters in a large pioneering, hardworking Irish family. She was the youngest daughter of a family of 10. The girls in the family were sent to Iona Catholic College and when at home she worked in the mill office and did so when the family moved to farmland at ‘Roelands Park'. After the war she met the love of her life Cyril, married and had 4 girls on their farm in Boyanup. She was clever, tenacious, brave, loyal, a champion sports woman and Bridge player. Being my Godmother and Aunt, she always kept in touch and we enjoyed her drop-ins for coffee in Bunbury after Church.
Eileen was the last of the trailblazers.
