TONKIN (ARTHUR)
Beloved husband of Bettina and proud father of Richard, Jasmine and Phillip. He lived a life full of passion and had a love for Chess, singing, tennis, coaching, acting, cricket, classical music and reading. He also rode a pushbike in the early days from Melbourne to Perth. He was a wonderful teacher and is remembered by many. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 2 step-sons and their families.

For us Arthur Tonkin is remembered as the politician who in 1972 lit the fire under parliamentary and electoral reform eventually leading to a decent system. And he was the first Minister for Environment. A great legacy for WA.
