  • THEODORE (Malcolm):

    My sincere condolences to Heather and Melissa.

    I remember Malcolm with great fondness, as a younger cousin to Peter and Malcolm, I was in awe of them. Malcolm was so full of confidence and together with Peter, gave me a quick education about being a man, especially as I was shy teenager from Darwin.

    Subsequently after visits to Heather & Malcolm as an adult, we had a lot of fun. Malcolm had such a large confident persona, that every one gravitated towards him. His mischievousness and generosity are well known.

    It is a great sadness to lose Malcolm and I feel for Heather and Mellissa. It is a pity that we lived in Darwin and couldn't mix more with the rest of the family. Malcolm, was just like my Dad, they both commanded all the attention, wherever they were and with whoever was there, they were both larger than life.

    I will remember Uncle Malcolm as a person who could relate to anyone across the generations. I admired his ability to always spot the silver lining in any situation and his improvisation skills which could turn a simple sentence into humor. Uncle Malcolm your memory will live on with us forever.

    My deepest condolence to Aunty Heather, Melissa, Aunty Patsy, Uncle Peter, Dean, Tanya and families.

    Dearest Heather, Melissa and Families,

    Our Deepest Sympathy and Condolences.

    Mal, You had such a gregarious personality. A True love for bringing people together to share good times, fantastic mouth watering dinner parties, telling jokes and reminiscing and remembering the good old days with the special people , past and present who filled those days and special times.

    You had a heart of gold Mal, and we will all miss you so very much.

    Rest In Peace, Forever in Our Hearts and Thoughts

    This poem reflects what I believe you would be saying to each and every one of us today.

    I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one.

    I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.

    I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways,

    Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

    I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun;

    Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
