STRICKLAND

(GEORGE JOSEPH)

03.10.1942 - 23.6.2019 Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.

Losing a loved one leaves a heartache no one can heal but their loving memory is a precious gift no one can take away.

Husband of Helen. My best friend, my lover, my soul mate.

Father of our children, life companion - my 'rock' for 58 years.

"Nite love" - see you in the morning.

Love always from your "little one"

Father to Tony and Trish, Debbie and Mark, Denise and Gary.

Grandfather to Justin, Lachlan and Sarah, Jeremy, Dylan, Emily, Nathan and Allira, Natalie and Josh, Kristi and Michael

New Great-Grandfather to Cooper.

You will be greatly missed by your loving family but you have left behind such a strong legacy of 'wise words' and memories.

Your life journey is done.

Grateful thanks to all at Fresenius for their loving care and support over the past 3 years and also to Silver Chain Hospice Care Service and Right at Home.

STRICKLAND (George):

Dad / Grandad

You will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We will miss all those wonderful family times together, all those grandad chats, and most of all, we will miss you just being there for us.

We love you dad, and the kids will never forget what a loving grandad you were.

Your love and support will be cherished by us all.

Love always Denise and Gary and your grandchildren Nathan and Allira and great grandson Cooper. Natalie and Josh. Kristi and Michael.

STRICKLAND (George):

Dad/Grandad,

Love you infinitely.

The Mayor, Councillors and Staff at the City of Stirling are deeply saddened by the passing of the City's Freeman George Strickland AM. Freeman Strickland served as a City Councillor (1981-90), Deputy Mayor (1984-86) and Mayor (1986-88) and made many great contributions to the City and community during that time. Freeman Strickland's legacy includes putting in place the foundations for a debt free City - a proud achievement we hold to this day. He also had a long career in State politics where he represented the electorates of Innaloo and Scarborough. Freeman Strickland dedicated much of his time to his community and was on a number of local and Parliamentary Committees. The passing of Freeman Strickland is a big loss for the City and community and he will be greatly missed. We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Helen and their family during this difficult time.
