SOLLY Dixie (MK):
Passed away peacefully. Cherished and beloved husband of Lesley, much loved father of Ross, Dean and Linda, treasured grandfather of nine and a special father-in-law to all extended family. Sad are the hearts that loved you, sad are the tears that fall, but living our lives without you is the saddest part of all.

SOLLY (DIXIE)
Sincere sympathy to dear Lesley, Ross, Dean, Linda and families. Dixie was one in a million, sincere friend, sense of humour, renowned bush poet, loved to play guitar and sing all night, a hard working farmer and shearer, dedicated racehorse trainer and supporter of Country Racing. A dinkum Aussie, always ready to discuss the state of the nation. A ton with the cricket bat and two on the shearing board. A lifetime of good times and friendship.
MK, you leave a big gap in our lives. KJ and W.

From the beginning you believed in my abilities as a Jockey, giving me some wonderful memories to reflect on. You were one of the first trainers who saw potential in women as Jockies and has been an ongoing support to them. Your dry wit, talent for creating a "good story" and your dapper presence at the racers will be greatly missed. You will be in my heart forever. Deepest sympathy to Leslie and family.
