30.4.1926 - 8.5.2022 Dearly beloved husband of Margaret and very much loved Dad of Cheryl, Lynn, Marie, Susan, Graham and Sally.
He was a respected and admired father-in-law and friend, proud grandad and great grandad to 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Arthur was a beautiful man with great integrity and a strong work ethic as an architect with the Public Works Department for 46 years and was also a tireless volunteer with Apex, Rotary, the Claremont Football Club and the Trigg Island Surf Club. He cared for, and about his family and will be greatly missed by all the many people he met and the lives he touched.
Arthur William Thomas Smith had a long and full life, well lived.
Arthur, you were my husband, my friend and loving companion for 72 years.

Eldest son of John Charles and Florence Eveline Smith (both dec), brother Leslie Morris and sister Kathryn Margaret (dec). In addition to being a much loved and respected older brother to Leslie, Arthur was also brother in law to Hazel and cherished Uncle to Marilyn (John), Phillip (Anthea), Glenda (Athol), Andrew, Jennifer (Colin) and Patricia (dec). Arthur was selfless in his commitment to the betterment of the community in which he lived and will be remembered with gratitude for his genuine concern for the welfare of others and particularly for the support and love for our family.
He honoured the core values of family and friend. We are saddened with your passing however your legacy remains even though you are no longer with us.
Our love, thoughts and prayers continue for you Margaret and for the family.

SMITH ARTHUR The oldest and dearest friend of the late Stuart Coll. Arthur and Stuart met as cadets at the PWD and maintained a long close friendship of mutual respect and laughter. Arthur was also a wonderful friend to the Coll family. Our sympathy is with Margaret and family.

A Life Member, Arthur fullfilled an incredible variety of roles for the club and is considered an architect of the club's football development program we still have today. Arthur is remembered for his enthusiasm for Claremont Football Club, his willingness to organise in his meticulous fashion, show parking rosters, quiz nights, auctions, bbqs, his famous "Arthur Burgers" for the Colts post match lunches and his considerable contribution as a Director of Football Development at Board Level.
