SMITH

(ARTHUR WILLIAM THOMAS)

30.4.1926 - 8.5.2022 Dearly beloved husband of Margaret and very much loved Dad of Cheryl, Lynn, Marie, Susan, Graham and Sally.

He cared for, and about his family and will be greatly missed by all the many people he met and the lives he touched.

Arthur William Thomas Smith had a long and full life, well lived.

Arthur, you were my husband, my friend and loving companion for 72 years.

I will be simply lost without you. Margaret

    (ARTHUR WILLIAM THOMAS)

Eldest son of John Charles and Florence Eveline Smith (both dec), brother Leslie Morris and sister Kathryn Margaret (dec). In addition to being a much loved and respected older brother to Leslie, Arthur was also brother in law to Hazel and cherished Uncle to Marilyn (John), Phillip (Anthea), Glenda (Athol), Andrew, Jennifer (Colin) and Patricia (dec). Arthur was selfless in his commitment to the betterment of the community in which he lived and will be remembered with gratitude for his genuine concern for the welfare of others and particularly for the support and love for our family.

He honoured the core values of family and friend. We are saddened with your passing however your legacy remains even though you are no longer with us.

Our love, thoughts and prayers continue for you Margaret and for the family.

    Leslie and Hazel Smith.

I worked part time with him whilst a student and 20 years later served with him on The Claremont Football Club Board.
