SLATER ROD Rod gave generously of himself while he was a member of Perth Rotary Club. We enjoyed his huge commitment to helping others, and his special sense of humour. Rod found many ways to help our club to help our community, from fund raising to helping to organise large events like the Santos Great Bike Ride. He also negotiated funded courses for young people, combining years 11 and 12 with apprenticeships. In this way he changed many young lives for the better.
We will miss Rod, he made our world a kinder place.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Farewell Rod, from all of us at Perth Rotary Club.

SLATER ROD Passed suddenly on 23 April 2024, aged 81. Rod was a long-time member of Rotary and was renowned for his support of the ideals of Rotary service in all respects. At the time of his passing, he was a valued member of the Heirisson Rotary Club. He was an extremely generous supporter and benefactor of the Club's projects, and until recently, an active participant in the Club's meetings, which he enlivened with his unique sense of humour. He will be greatly missed by all members. Our sympathy and thoughts are with his family and friends.
Farewell Rod from the members of the Heirisson Rotary Club.
