  • SLACK-SMITH (Shirley):

Deepest sympathies to Shirley’s family and friends. Shirley was a dear family friend in my childhood, a mentor and inspirational figure in my life and I’m saddened to hear of her passing. She was close to my parents in their 60’s , sharing my own father's love for the marine life and the new adventure of scuba diving, and I greatly appreciated her encouragement much later during my own science journey and work experience at the museum.
