Descendant of William and Lucy Glover, who arrived on the "Marquis of Angelsea", the fourth ship to arrive in Western Australia in 1829.

SAMUELS (Peter James):

Peter began his career as a teacher at Wesley College in 1972 and retired from Wesley at the end of 2011. He taught mathematics and became, at various times, first assistant in the Mathematics Department, Head of Dickson House, Head of the Activities, Program and Dean of Student Programs. He coached rowing, became Rowing Master and then Administrative Assistant to various later Directors of Rowing. His passion for rowing never diminished in his thirty years of association with the sport. He also taught vacation swimming at Wesley and Carine High School and inaugurated the Wesley College Surf Life Saving Bronze medallion Program.

A Private Funeral Service for the late Mr Peter James Samuels of Safety Bay, formerly of Nollamara and Roebourne and Life Member of the Wesley College Parents and Friends Association, took place on WEDNESDAY (24.06.2020) in accordance with his wishes.

    Condolences to Kathleen and family; so very, very sad to hear recently of the passing of Peter. He was a much loved and admired Teacher, Mentor and Coach; indeed a valued and trusted friend over many years.

    We will miss him. Rest in peace Mr Samuels.
