  • MURRAY (Michael):

    To Dale and family

Valerie and I remember Michael with affection and respect as a fine man and a fine lawyer.

That memory goes back to the 1970s when he and I appeared against each other in the Supreme Court in a variety of cases

He was always a formidable opponent. He was also an honourable and trustworthy one.

He gave great service to the people of this State in his official roles not least in a major review of the Criminal Code of Western Australia.

His perspectives were large, sharpened by humour, and unclouded by ego.

His contributions to the law and society endure

With deep sympathy to you all

MICHAEL JOHN, AM QC In loving memory of Michael, stalwart friend of the Randell family for more than sixty years.

His always wise and thoughtful comments were so often leavened by a wry and humorous anecdote that he was an essential member of the family table for young and old.

Brother-in-law to Peter, warm friend to Gayle and a kind uncle to Piers, Bec and Zane, we and our families will all miss Michael's company, and recall with great fondness his betterment of our world.
