MCSWEENEY (RICHARD)

Our sympathies are extended to family, friends and colleagues of Dr Richard McSweeney.

Dr McSweeney made significant contributions to Catholic education, being instrumental in the formation of governance structures for the State-wide Catholic Education system that exists today.

He is remembered for his steadfast commitment to the vocation of education, for his devotion to truth, faith and principle, and his willingness to ask hard questions where necessary.

Eternal rest grant unto Richard, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
