MAYFIELD Barry

Obituary Guest Book 16 Messages

MAYFIELD BARRY JOHN A husband, dad, granddad, great granddad, brother, uncle, friend and neighbour. You were a lot of things to a lot of people but to us you were our world, rock, hero, you were our family. You touched many people with your caring, kind heart, and for many their lives will never be the same as there is no-one quite like you. You are irreplaceable and although our hearts are broken and there is a void that can't be filled, we know you are together with Mum and Shane again.

In peace Dad, till we meet again.

Love Michelle, Terry, Haydn, Grace, Allysha, Jordan and Sofia

Barry was a top neighbour. He often gave me red geranium cuttings and any advice on my garden. He would plant Dixie's Sweet Peas at the light pole for her every year. Always up for a chat and always that wave and smile while walking Pearl. I know Dixie will be waiting to give him a big hug and Shane will be out working on his car waiting for Dad's help. When you all shifted from the country you brought your green thumbs and had the best garden in the street, Barry kept it perfect. Deepest condolences to Michelle and family.

My deepest sympathies to the Mayfield Family and friends for his passing. My work had me come across Barry as a Water Corp Inspector. He was always willing to give advice and help out if he was able to do so. He was a very friendly and knowledgeable man. I know this world is a lesser place without him in it.

A special man indeed, respected, gentle, caring, loving, knowledgeable, and a true Gentle man. You left too early, still had things to do, and much love to give to your new granddaughter and loving daughter and family and many more walks with Pearl. Together again with Dixie and Shane. Rip Barry.

Barry was my neighbour and later a good friend for 36 years. I was one of the three single women in the houses opposite, that Dixie laughingly called his harem. Barry was always willing to help us if we needed something fixed. Barry and Dixie were always very supportive and the best neighbours you could possibly have. Shillington Way and the beautiful garden will not be the same without him. He will be missed by many. Deepest sympathy to Michelle and family.
