Obituary Guest Book 7 Messages

MASLEN (GERARD)

Passed away suddenly on 12th March 2021. One week after our sister Paula. Gerry, you had such a kind heart and were always an odds man - this one was one odds nobody would have bet on. At rest with Mum and Dad, Dallys and Cathy. Our deepest sympathy and love to John. May perpetual light shine upon you.

Uncle Gerry, we were so terribly sorry to learn of your sudden passing. Entertaining, observant and kind, always ready with a joke, a curious fact or a hot tip! We will fondly remember your booming voice and think wistfully of you whenever we hear an Elvis song. The world has lost a star.

Heartfelt sympathy to dearest John, Hannah and the Maslen family in your time of sorrow.

Love from Natalie, Dave, Emily and Tommy

Uncle Gerry I can hardly think of what to write.

As a kid you you were a part of so many good things in the family and you taught me some great things. E.g. Teaching me how to ride a bike, not letting me give up but waiting whilst I kept trying till I got it. Another thing you taught John and I how to use The Commodore 64 well before The Internet was even a thought in anyone's mind. As an adult I was always welcome in your house.

Being very smart yourself and then being able to educate was your work but also a a special talent you had to.. Everyone that knew you, knew how hard you worked.

For the many happy times we shared and love of your family, I say thanks so much for all of it. You will not be forgotten. Be at peace in heaven with Aunty Dal and Cathy.

To John, Hannah and family, know you have my sympathy and that I am thinking of you now. Much love,

    Michael.

Fondest memories of my brother-in-law Gerry, husband of my dear sister Dallys (dec), father of Cath (dec) and son, John. Always ready with a joke, caring, and with a great love of family and the family pets.

My deepest sympathy and love to my nephew John and all the Maslen family.
