MACKENZIE Ross

Obituary Guest Book 23 Messages

MACKENZIE

ALEXANDER ROSS Our dearly loved Ross has sadly passed away. Husband to Pam, father to Alex, Levis, Elsa and Jamie, father-in-law to Simone and Nathan and grandfather to George. A true gentleman who lived with integrity, Ross enriched the lives of all who knew him. A farmer for nearly 60 years, he lived, breathed, and dreamt farming and cared deeply for the land and rural WA. What he achieved through blood, sweat and tears was truly remarkable and his hard work, drive and ingenuity was inspiring to all. A down to earth and kind hearted man, Ross gave more to his community, friends and strangers than will ever be known. An indomitable spirit who never gave up and always looked to tomorrow; he will be fondly remembered by all who knew him and live on forever in the hearts of the family he loved so much.

Today, we especially reflect on the passing of cousin Ross Mackenzie. Pam and family, our thoughts are with you and offer heartfelt love and sympathy. As is often the case with cousins, our interactions were infrequent but always wonderfully inspirational. We are consoled by the belief that Ross's spirit lives on and will continue to inspire us, particularly when optimism, perseverance, caring and conviviality are called for.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Pam, Alex, Levis, Jamie, Elsa and families on the loss of Ross, our most respected and admired WA cousin. Ross was a hardworking, loving family man with whom we were privileged to share much MacKenzie (Hardie) hospitality on some wonderful occasions. Ross lived life with passion and energy, with a well deserved pride and love for his family. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Our much loved cousin Ross, oh the memories, the weekends at the Sharp's house from boarding school, the times at Talano during school holidays, in recent times the house boating at Alexander Bridge. We will miss your calm demeanour and quiet sense of humour. How sorry we are for Pam and the kids. Rest in peace Ross. Greg, Helen and the Sharp family of Nannup.

The extreme farming difference between Toodyay and Maya, in many ways typified the committed attitude of a man with an unsatisfied desire for entrepreneurial endeavour.

When not on a tractor or in a sheep yard, he was pioneering a Toodyay subdivision ‘with a difference'. With effortless ease he would engage with any challenge presented.

A work ethic with ‘a 24 hour timetable'

His wife, Pam, also with unique qualities, provided the family ‘team ' of Alex, Levis, Elsa and Jamie, who all match their parent's ‘zest for life'.

An inspiring, gentle person, taken from us all too soon!

    Always remembered with respected thoughts.
