    Dear Uncle John

A true Larrikin uncle. Mum and Dad always and will always mention your name whenever we play a game of cards. How you weren’t the most trusted player but definitely the most fun! I remember how you would look down through your glasses at me and you had a warm smirky smile.

Rest In Peace Uncle John xoxo

With heartfelt condolence to John's immediate and extended family and friends, I remember good times at Graylands Hostel Soccer Club, the match days and the socials. Oh! The Socials! I remember John (after a few bevvies) going up on stage and taking the microphone from the DJ. John proceeded to sing a Max Bygraves number. Pretty sure it was 'Any Dream Will Do'. So long old mate.

Uncle John, I remember as a kid getting to yours and Aunty Kath’s house and Peter and I would race to play on your Yahtzee ‘gameboy’... then we would have a few hands of chase the ace playing for 3x 5c... it was so much fun and you included us even though we were annoying kids. I loved those times. And recent times too... Bunbury for Pete’s wedding.. bbqs and family dos. I loved to hear the stories about the old days growing up as my dad’s big brother.. and the silly jokes you all loved to tell...

Rest Easy now Uncle John ❤️

John you were my Best Friend first then years later my brother in law. I remember us at the Highway Hotel playing pool, drinking and betting on the horses we never won very much we had so many great times. After the hostel dances on a Saturday we would have to go and play soccer on the Sunday you playing for the fourth team and me the ladies team. We couldn't wait for the game to be over to get down to the Swanbourne Hotel for a drink. I guess if we had trained instead of hiding in the bushes having a fag we would of been fit lol. So many things I remember about us over so many years. I miss you today, tomorrow, always.  Not one day will go by where something will remind me of you.
