Our sincere condolences to Eileen and family on your sad loss of Ian. He was a such a vital and interesting person and will be greatly missed by you, his friends and many associates.
Ian was a remarkable man who during the 1980s as Managing Director of Bunnings Ltd, through astute management, successfully guided the Company to become one of Australia's leading forest product producers and building product supply outlets.
His management style and wise counselling earned him the considerable respect of his staff and the workplace at large. His care and interest in
the wellbeing of the Company's dispersed workforce was a key to the Company's success.
We are deeply saddened by his passing as will all who have been associated with him.

Rising above Nazi and Communist regimes Ian became a proud Australian contributing extensively to commercial and industrial life in Western Australia including as MD and CEO of Bunnings Limited and through many directorships. Ian possessed a strong community spirit selflessly contributing to many associations including AIM AICD (IOD) and CCI. A wonderful visionary and loyal friend. We celebrate a "Fortunate Life" well lived.
