Fond memories from Kalgoorlie childhood days. I was a classmate of Terry's and our fathers were friends. My deepest sympathy.
Thank you for making me welcome at Eldred's funeral. My father Geoff Smith (from Goomalling) was unable to attend. We had attended the funeral for his sister Peggy Clarke (nee Smith) on the Monday of that week. He said as cousins Peggy and Eldred would often meet up and enjoyed going to the dances. Peggy was 95 when she died. Geoff, Albert and Peggy's parents were George and Victoria Pearl Smith and their grandparents were Lavinia and William Hardy, on their mothers side. Pearl had 3 sisters Mill, Beatrice and Tot . I think Mill married into the Glencross family.I think Dad said your family are descended from my great Auntie Beat. My sincere sympathy to you all, Leslie

Eldred, your legacy will live on in our hearts and minds for many years to come. May you rest in peace. John Van Der Wielen and all at HBF
