KEANE (MARGARET)

Our dear Sister Margaret Keane passed away peacefully at Joseph Cooke Nursing Home on 30 September 2021.

Margaret, you were among us like a lamp whose oil of kindness never ran out and whose glow of compassion never dimmed. How blessed were we to have been touched by the simplicity of your warm and joyful humanity. We will miss your smile, your companionship, your ever-courteous generosity.

Go in peace, dear Margaret, your loving Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart.

Sister Margaret Keane will be sorely missed at St Pius X Church, Manning, where for years she was a cheerful, helpful presence. She contributed in numerous ways to the life of the parish, notably as catechist and lector. She did it all with a ready smile, with a generous willingness and Christ-like love. Heartfelt condolences to Sr Margaret's sisters and the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart from Parish Priest Father Patrick Lim and the parishioners of Manning Parish.

Deepest and prayerful sympathy to you Teresa and Betty and your family members and to our Josephite Sisters on the death of dear Margaret. May Heaven be her bed. I first met Margaret when I was in the Training College and I went to her class for crit lessons, a magical infant teacher. Thinking of you all and holding you in prayer.
