  • KAVANAGH (Sr Anne):

Here’s to one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever met in this life, Mary (Sr. Anne) Kavanagh. It has been a privilege knowing you over so many years. Although some distance to overcome between Ireland  and Australia, every time we met in either hemisphere, we just picked up from where we left off. You were and still are an inspiration to me, not least for your universal wisdom, compassion, curiosity and clarity of mind. We will miss you dearly until we meet again. Go gently, Yours Anthony and Pauline McNamara, Dublin Ireland and Perth, Western Australia.

  • KAVANAGH (Sr Anne):  So sorry to hear of the death of Sister Anne RIP. She was a distant cousin of mine and we kept in touch over the years. We were both in school together in Croom in Co Limerick, Ireland. Whenever she was home on holiday in Ireland she always contacted us and we would meet for a chat and catch-up, we met around this time last year. I had emailed her about a month before she died. She was a lovely person, always friendly and never forgot to keep in touch despite her busy life. We talked a lot about her love of cats and how she babysat them at home in Perth! Our sympathy goes to her sisters Peggy (Maggie) and Kitty, her other relatives and all her colleagues and friends in Perth. May she rest in peace.

Dear Anne, your gentle, thoughtful presence will be missed across the oceans by your friends in Australia and by all the Josephities here in Ireland. You were a wonderful person to know. May you delight in your heavenly home and the wonderful opportunity you now have, to view the universe, you loved so much.
