    GIOVANNI (JOHN)

John, I am devastated, words cannot describe the loss I feel. You were too young and had lots more to give. There will be no more tricks at our family gatherings, your pranks will now bring fun and joy to all in Heaven and you will eat all the cake you want for your 70th Birthday in the arms of our beloved parents. Trips to Kulin and Mogumber will never be the same. You were the best and will remain in my heart for ever. All our love to Anne, Johnny and Angela, Elissa and Robert and children.

    Fortunato and Immacolata

    IELATI Giovanni (John):

"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional".

Uncle John, you were a big kid and that's why we'll miss you – you were fun to be around. You never took life too serious. Thank you for the memorable moments fishing, at the farm, talking cars and arguing about politics. You'll live on through these memories forever.

Love goes out to Aunty Anne, Johnny, Elissa and families. R.I.P. Uncle John. Perry, Michelle, Zara and Allegra.

    IELATI Giovanni (John):

Our hearts are broken, our world will never be the same. You were our loveable family larrikin - those bright, beady eyes, cheeky smile and that unmistakeable chuckle. I'll never forget all the nights you huffed and puffed past when Elissa and I rolled through the door at 3am. Or the endless school holiday sleepovers where I was just "one of your own". You had a kind and gentle nature, coupled with a firecracker spark. But you were you, always there for whoever needed it. We love you Uncle John, and we'll miss you so much. Sleep peacefully. Pina, Leo, Marco and Alessio.

To our dearest cousins Anne, Johnny, Angela, Elissa, Robbie and families, we are deeply saddened by the loss of your bubbly Giovanni. Everyone has a special gift and John's was gathering family and friends and putting a smile on their faces, filling their bellies and finishing with dessert. To my cousins whom I regard as brothers Fortunato, Bill and Tony, I feel your pain but am confident knowing both John and Michael will have a campfire and wine on the go. Love always from Fred, Anita Carbone and family.

  • IELATI JOHN To Anne, Johnny, Angela, Elissa and Robbie and families please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband, dad and Nonno. John was always the smiling, kind and helpful jokester who was loved and adored by all. He loved the farm life and organised many gatherings to spend time with family and friends. He had one simple goal, live life to the full. He was a political commentator and often argued his points, especially on coffee roasting days at the factory with the family. He was a prankster and enjoyed scaring people with his fire crackers. He loved cars and cannolis and most importantly loved his family and friends. He was strong headed, never afraid of anyone or anything and was always willing to lend a hand. We truly appreciated all the time he gave us, and the numerous kitchens he built for us, which we still enjoy today. We will miss you and never forget you. Love from Bill, Ginny, Jessie, Warren and Mia
