It was sad to hear that Kate has gone. She was fun, kind and stylish and I valued her friendship in the early eighties, she was like a breath of fresh air. Brave and independent, her shop in Bondi and flat near the Redfern train station. My sympathies to her family.
Deep sympathy to Raphs — the apple of Kate's eye. Loved Kate. She was crazy (who isn’t?) but kind, a good spirit and an ever creative spirit. A brilliant raconteur whose life from Midland to art school to the art-design-music scenes of Fremantle and then Redfern/Bondi and back to WA and her Nannup/Bussleton years ... was a full and wonderful odyssey. Kate was always there for those that needed her. In her last months she was so stoic and brave and practical (a classic Capricorn she would say). Will be missed very much. Meet you for a beer and a rave in the upper room dear.
