  • HUTCHINSON (Bruce):

It is difficult to believe Bruce is no longer with us. Hutchy, as he was known by the students at Muresk Agricultural College, was an infectiously enthusiastic person in every way at Muresk including as the sheep husbandry lecturer and football coach. Bruce had a real zest for living and an inspiration to all he met. Though I haven’t been in touch with Bruce for some years I was truly saddened to learn of his passing such was the lasting impression he left with me.

My sincere sympathy to Alison and family for their sad loss of Bruce.

  • HUTCHINSON (Bruce):

My deepest condolences to you Alison, as well as to his kids and grandchildren. He always spoke well of you and them with cheering love.

Bruce made a great influence and lasting impression in my life.

He became my big brother with his kind and generous sound advice.

May his spirit, love and fond memories be with all of us that had the honour to know him.

I will miss him greatly and cheer his memory for the rest of my life.

  • HUTCHINSON (Bruce):
Bruce was an inspiration to me and many others from my days at Muresk Agricultural College (1964-65) where he was well respected lecturer and later as Manager Munglinup Farmers where he supported me in my early days with the Commonwealth Serum Laboratories (now CSL Limited).

His commitment, dedication and advocacy towards convincing the Western Australian Government to retain the Muresk Institute of Agriculture as a centre of agricultural education excellence and his subsequent active involvement as a member of Muresk Agribusiness Advisory Committee highlighted a life time commitment to agriculture at home and abroad and agricultural education in Western Australia. His wisdom and advice will be missed by many.
