1 Corinthians 15:55-57 New Living Translation (NLT)

55 O death, where is your victory?

O death, where is your sting?

56 For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. 57 But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is with a very heavy heart that I send this message. I have known Neil since 1967 when I came to Australia as a travelling 21 year old. We stayed in touch over the past 15 years mainly through email but we will always remember his visit to Canada with Julianne. I will always regret not visiting in Perth over the past few years. All the best to Julianne and all the Hughes family.

I was so very sad to hear of your passing Neil. After so many years at Metso, you leave a huge legacy and very big shoes to fill. You will be missed by so many, especially for your wit and intelligence. A true gentleman and an amazing person.

Words cannot describe the immense heartbreak we feel for Julianne and family at your very sudden and tragic loss. Neil was a beloved member of the inaugural Hyogo Tour Team in 2013 and created many wonderful moments for everyone participating in the trip. Neil's deep devotion, love, and friendship for his beautiful wife, Julianne, was inspiring to all and his quick wit, sound advice, and awesome photography skills made him an ideal travel companion. With deepest sympathies and much love from your Hyogo Cultural Centre family.
