Sad and shocked to hear of the passing of Peter, I will miss the fun banter we had every time we met. Peter's humor was unique and also gave me a good laugh. Peter was always at hand when I had a computer question and always there to help no matter how big or small the issue was. Always remember the fun field trips we had with VPRS. RIP Peter and condolences to Nancy and family.

Peter, you made me laugh as you could always see the funny side of things except when I would wear striped shirts.

Devastated and sad at the loss of a very good friend, mentor and guide – I have no words to say – how much I miss you Peter and your fancy ties, the lunch time fun with team mates, your black motorbike, the techy snowballs, the cats and yes of course your own way to say “Wonderful”. You taught me to smile and respond beautifully – no matter what the situation is – in life or at work. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for everything. You had such a work ethic and commitment towards the team or the organisation - I am sure whoever works with you they all will prise that. I will always cherish memory of the beetroot cake and our lunch time stories with a smile my “Old man”. Rest in peace. My deepest condolence to Nancy and Family.

Peter was patience, tolerance and forbearance personified. He helped me immeasurably, especially in my early days. He was so generous with his time and knowledge and true to form would almost scoff at my gratitude. I am sure for him that's just what everybody did. No Peter, that's just what you do. So for one last time. Thank you Peter. You were always kind and helpful to me.

A sad loss for those who had the privilege of knowing Peter. We offer our sincere condolences to Nancy and family. As an ex-colleague at APB, Peter always kept us entertained not only with his witticisms but also his unusual recipes and choices of headwear. In a word, Peter was unique.

With sympathy to Nancy and family. Peter will be missed so much by all his colleagues at DPIRD. I will remember him for his love of Nancy, their cats, his motorbikes, regional travel, photography and microwave cookery. Always ready with a smile, brewing coffee and his customary response "Wonderful!" when asked about his day.

With deepest sympathy to Nancy and family. Peter will be missed greatly by all at DPIRD and in particular his team. He was the master of Workflows for which he often requested his morning tea in exchange for the service rendered! He wore the funkiest ties, and had an interesting collection of snow globes. No matter how hard the day …... Peter always responded 'Wonderful' when asked how he was going.

Deepest sympathy to Nancy and family. Peter will be very much missed by so many at DPIRD. Absolutely one of a kind, Peter's delightfully detailed stories, quips and astute observations were always a highlight of the work day. From the sometimes seemingly unconventional cooking advice (but tried and tested, I had success!), to being able to tell the time by his coffee brewing, Peter was always so generous with his time and teachings. Always 'Hello', and not 'Hi'.

Always an interesting and entertaining colleague with a great work ethic. Taken far too soon and will be missed by all. Thoughts are with Nancy

With sympathy to Nancy and family. Peter will be missed deeply by his colleagues. He told legendary level stories at morning tea, had a fondness for cake and was never afraid to demand it as payment for services rendered. He had a wonderful sense of humour and a collection of tacky snow globes on his desk - the tackier the better to prove it. I promise only to call them Violet folders from now on.

  • HUBACH PETER So sad at the loss of a very dear friend. An indelible part of so many lives. The wit, the wisdom, the foibles. APB where we began, hours on the road, days and nights in the bush, rides on bikes. Thankyou so much. Thinking of Nancy and all who shared with him. Garry Gray
