(DAVID JOHN) DR OAM

Passed away suddenly on 28.9.2019, aged 79. Loved son of John and Mary (both dec) and loved stepson of Jeanette. Loved brother of Julian, Pauline, Philip, Mark and Meredith. Loved brother- in-law, uncle, and great-uncle to their families. His life will be celebrated and he will be sadly missed.

HOUGH (DAVID)

The Memorial Service for the late Dr David John Hough OAM will be held on FRIDAY (11.10.2019) at 2.30pm at Wesley Chapel, Wesley College, South Perth. David expressed a wish for a Private Cremation Ceremony which will be honoured by his family.

No Public Funeral Will Be Held.

  • HOUGH DAVID Sincere condolences to the family of David Hough, a significant figure in the local and national arts community. David was a talented storyteller and much-respected teacher, writer, historian and critic. He was instrumental in establishing the WA Academy of Performing Arts and was committed to supporting young talent. He was a worthy recipient of an Order of Australia medal and leaves a huge legacy. He will be greatly missed. On behalf of staff - past and present - at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Perth Theatre Trust.
