Farewell Steve, my best friend, husband, fellow musician and traveller through life's journeys and wonderful travels. What stunning experiences we had together. My thanks to dear friends, neighbours, family and folkies for your support. Steve, I will miss you forever and at your request there will be a Private Cremation. Chris

  • HOGAN (Steve):

Much loved friend, colleague, mentor, admired musician, and a man generous of time and wisdom. Our lifelong friendship began over a cup of Earl Grey tea, long “wet” lunches too numerous to mention, and a host of great dinners with Chris and Kerry, the woman who became my wife as a result of Steve and Chris’s matchmaking. We owe so much to them both. We will sadly miss his humour and that most special level of friendship we had regardless of life’s time gaps in our many shared experiences.

It just goes to show that playing the melodeon can eventually be fatal. Our deepest respect for Steve and love from afar for Chrstine. Steve and Elaine.

What a terrible shock. I'd been wanting to catch up when Weller ... and now it's too late. Steve was such a kind and interesting person and I can't imagine what a blow this must be to Chris.

My sympathies to all his family and friends because I know so many will be mourning him.

  • HOGAN STEVE Farewell to our good mate Steve, who introduced us to C#, loved English folk song, music and dark ale, brightened so many Fairbridges, shared our joy and music at Sidmouth, Shanghai and Folk in the Forest and laughed with us at so many dinners. You will be missed Steve. Sympathy to Chris in your immense loss.
