Obituary Guest Book 8 Messages

HERBERT JAMES (PEARSE)

10.04.1944 - 17.12.2021 Pearse passed away on Friday morning at his home on his farm at Bridgetown. His family was by his side.

Loved father to Geoffrey, Mattie and James. Loved and respected father-in- law to Len and Marie Pierre. Loved and devoted Grandad to Bonnie, Patrick, Charlie and Thomas.

Many happy memories of our time together raising our family. Pearse was a strong man with equally strong convictions. He thrived on hard work and was always looking for a new challenge in life. In his own words "I've had a good life, no complaints." Rest peacefully, Love Jean.

  • HERBERT (Pearse):

Sincere Condolences to Geoffrey, Mattie and James and families. Pearse was a true gentleman and it was a pleasure to share a few years working with him. Glad we got to catch up last year. RIP Julie and John Wood

  • HERBERT (Pearse):

So sorry for your loss, deepest sympathy to all the family. Pearse was the best man I had the privilege of knowing and I am very sorry I did not get to see him in these last years. I still often relate stories of our station and mining days to people who knew of Pearse, much to the amusement of everyone.

10.04.1944 - 17.12.2021 "Father is the noblest title a man can be given. It is more that a biological role. It signifies a patriarch, a leader, an exemplar, a confidant, a teacher, a hero, a friend."

Dad, your guiding hand will be on our shoulders always, you will be forever missed.

Loving you always, Mattie, Len, Bonnie, Patrick and Charlie.

Deepest sympathy to Pearse's family who were very important to him. Pearse you told me to sit back and enjoy the ride and I have many memories from a short life in the fast lane with you. As planned we will meet again in the Cane River. Hope we don't get bogged again. You will always be remembered. Jobs well done. Rest now Pearse. Annie F B-L.
