  • HAWKES (David):

    My Dear Dear Rosemary,

I am so so sorry that I missed your funeral notice for David.

I would have loved to have held your hand.

Your strength today will carry you through.

My prayers have been for David and with you and your daughters and all the family.

Our ties goes back a long time and both Martin (dec) and myself have had a great respect and love for David.

He was a terrific guy and mentor to many.

We all shared in special day birthdays and it was great fun to have you share these times with us.

Going back to when we were Young. Your were around 25 and I was 47 and we had a very important conversation. Do you remember it was about you and David.

The outcome was beautiful plus 2 beautiful daughers as well and many years of a beautiful marriage.

I will always remember his handsome face and his beguiling smile. His laughter and goodwill to all he shared with so many.

    Dear Rosemary,

I would love to share some time with you.

    My mobile number is 0404416396.

  • HAWKES DAVID Deepest sympathy to Rosemary, Alice, Amanda and all the Hawkes family on the death of David, our colleague at the ABC in Perth during the last of radio's golden years, the 70s, 80s and 90s. He was much admired and respected as a fine broadcaster of the old school and, in later years, as the organiser of our regular Old Boys' Mingles. We'll keep on mingling in your memory - all your old chums from Radio Pres.
