So sad to learn of your passing, we knew each other for 55 years, your son Tom (dec) was my best friend at school, my best mate after school during our working years and best man at my wedding. You were always there with your lovely wife Joan during the early years when my family was breaking up and you became my second mum and dad. After all these years of you being there it will be hard not to just ring you and say hi.

    Dear Fred

I never had the privilege of meeting you, but knew all about you through Mum Sylvia, your cousin. I loved the e mails you used to send me after mum died, keeping me up to date of your life. My condolences to Joan . Thinking of you xxx

So sorry to find out about this. He was a favourite cousin of my mother and her brother Norman. We had the pleasure of visiting Fred and Joan along with my mother Sylvia, husband Tony and small son (at the time) in 2005. Lots of memories. My sister Susan also passes on her condolences.
