HANSEN (JOHN COLSTON)
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after much suffering, at the Busselton Hospice Unit. Beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of Janine, Bradley and Melissa. Father-in-law of Tim and dear friend to Lyndon, Tara and Courtney. Treasured Poppy of Jaxon, David, Brody, Zac, Lenny, Koby, Christopher, Michael, Mikayla and Sophia. Cherished brother of Steven, Collene, Brett and Martene. Brother-in-law of Lois, Tor, Julie and Uwe. Dear John, you never failed to do your best, your heart was true and tender. You simply lived for those you loved, and those you loved remember. Sweet is the sleep that ended the pain, we should not wake you, to suffer again.
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 To my darling Husband, you passed away after so much pain, you suffered in silence and never complained. John, you were the love of my life and best friend for 45 years, and nothing could tear us apart. Just when we were enjoying the best part of our lives, working together around the country, our fun and adventures, unfortunately, had to come to an end. I held your hand, which made us part, you closed your eyes, then broke my heart.
Your loving wife, Margaret xxx
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Our loving funny and amazing Dad and Poppy, you made our family and childhoods the very best, filled with fun family holidays and laughter. Thank you so much for making us feel treasured and loved, even always caving in on my Friday night groundings! Sharing our love of books and debating will always stay with me, and your words of wisdom will continue to your grandsons. You have such a strong spirit and I know you are always around to feel our love and us to feel yours.
Your daughter Janine and grandsons Christopher and Michael
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Dad, Johnny, Mate. No words can describe how proud I am to have called you my father. Funny, caring, humble, strong, are just a few attributes that come to mind. So many great memories and stories that will live on and be told for many years to come. You had the biggest heart and the love that you had for Mum, Janine, Melissa, all of your grandchildren and myself was unmeasurable, and we will never forget you. If from this test we take one thing, I wish for that to be, we realise we're on borrowed time and hopefully we see. That time flies by in the blink of an eye, and we should savour every breath, because once it's gone, it can't come back, and photographs are all that's left.
Vale Dad, life is short, even in its longest days Your loving son, Bradley
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Dad this pain crushing my heart and soul won't ever go away. How are we supposed to go on without you here? I'm going to miss and cherish every single thing about you and every moment we shared. You put up a fearless fight with your wicked sense of humour shining bright right until the end. Thank you for your love and commitment to mum and to all of us over those wonderful years. How lucky I was to work a few different jobs along side you, getting to spend such valuable time together. You were there with me when I took my first breath and I was right there with you as you took your last. Finally, you can rest and be free fishing in the sky. We will look after Mum for you and my heart won't mend until we meet again. Love you forever, always your little girl Meliss xoxo Poppy, I will miss seeing you, watching the footy with you and making pancakes. I love you more than I love kicking the footy.
Love your best mate, Lenny Roy xoxo
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Johnny, where do I start? One of the true gentlemen.
There isn't too much we haven't done together. You liked a good drink - I liked to drink your drinks. You liked a good smoke - I liked to smoke your smokes. We fished, travelled, argued, drank, talked worked and played.
Your wisdom and honesty was at a level only the best will match. You took me in like a son and being a part of your family has held me together through a bunch of tough times and now it's my turn to return the favour. I like to think I can fix anything, and what I would've done to be able to fix you up good and proper and take you out for one last day on the ocean with a couple of cans out of that crusty fish smelling ice box, I couldn't ... You faced an unbeatable enemy, with a heart the size of a horse and it showed in your last days. You were the backbone of a beautiful family and your traits will live on.
Until we meet on the ocean upstairs, rest easy, I'll look after them Tim
01.02.1955 - 08.08.2019 Dear Poppy, you made the BEST pancakes in the entire world. You were very funny too. Although you always said that you would "crack us on the bum" with your thong if we played up, you would never hurt a fly.
Thank you, for everything, especially taking us fishing and building the pool, that was cool.
You are the best TTFN Love, Brody, Zac, Koby, Mikayla and Sophia
