JOHN The Judges and former Judges of the Federal Court of Australia extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the late Hon John Gilmour QC, a former distinguished advocate and highly respected Judge of the Court. GILMOUR JOHN Deepest sympathy to Marcia and the Gilmour family on the loss of a fine man of the highest integrity and strong in his faith. He was an exemplar as one of Western Australia's leading legal counsel and subsequently as a judge of the Federal Court. After his retirement from the Court he continued to serve in arbitral and mediation work.

His passing is a great loss to the legal profession in WA and to the WA community more generally.

He will be long remembered as a fine judge widely known for his civility and courtesy. All of those at the Court express our sincere condolences to Marcia and their family.
