Deepest sympathy to Jan and family. I met Bill in 1966 in Port Hedland and he taught me more about transport in 2 years than I have learnt since. A brilliant boss, tough but highly respected. Hopefully he managed to finish his book.

I first met Bill in the late 60's when he managed Bell Brothers in Meekatharra. He then moved to Port Hedland with Mayne Nickless, afterwards started U.H.S. He was a respected employer and got the same in return from drivers and subbies.
