FORREST (DONALD)

It is the sad duty of Marie Forrest, David, Jane and Andrew Forrest and the entire Vivian and Forrest families to advise that their loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, stepfather, uncle and patriarch, Don Forrest passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning, September 24th, 2023, at his beloved Minderoo Station.

Don passed away peacefully in his sleep, knowing he was with people and places he loved. We all wish him well in his onward journey.

He goes with the love, deep affection and enduring memories of all those whose lives his 95-year history has embraced. His legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.

The family will hold a celebration of Don's life on Sunday, October 1st, 2023, at Minderoo Station returning Don to his ancestral home he so loved.

A later Memorial Service will follow in Perth for the broader community of family and friends unable to attend his funeral.

  • FORREST (Donald):

To Marie, Andrew, David, Jane and families. Sincere condolences on the loss of your dear Don.

What a contribution he made to the pastoral industry and North West. I enjoyed all your company on his visits to Glenflorrie and the love of the land he shared. What a legacy he has left. May your memories help ease your loss at this sad time. Sincerely, Susan and the Grey family.

  • FORREST (Donald):

Don was wit, wisdom and wry charm, wrapped around a powerful moral compass. It was a pleasure and privilege to spend time with him, and record a little of his extraordinary personal history and legacy. His was a life truly well lived. Sending very best to his much-loved Marie, to David, Andrew and Jane, and to the extended clan; thinking of you at this time. Laurie Critchley, Southern Pictures
