EVANS John Phillip

JACK Dad passed away peacefully on Good Friday aged 100 years. Husband to Catherine Mary (Kate) Evans (deceased) married for 74 years. Brother to Bessie Andrews (deceased), Ernest Evans and father to sons Peter, Michael, John, and Anthony. You extended your love and a seat at your family table to your daughters in law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren who were fortunate enough to help celebrate your 100 years.

Always there for us and your community, you set a great example on how to live fully and respect others. A veteran of the Kings Squadron during WW2, renowned cricketer, hockey player, and lover of sport and adventure. An old Aquinian you served the federal government your entire working life. You passed away in the loving care of Mercy Village staff on a sun-drenched Friday evening and are now at peace.

  • EVANS (JACK)

My beautiful brother Jack has taken off for the last time to join his beloved Katie. His spirit and soul have soared through the clouds and into the heavens, which he loved and felt so much at home in while flying. It was a skill he gained while serving his country in WWII.

In life he achieved 100 wonderful years without regrets, just as he often did when batting many years ago. He leaves a proud legacy. I will miss him and his repartee, greatly.

Our condolences to Peter, Michael, John and Tony and their partners, children and grandchildren.

With love from Ernie, Pat, Jenny, Christine, Gail, and families.
