A man of political and intellectual integrity.

Placed on the wrong side of history by the debate about the wood chip industry in the ALP in the 70s.

Consequently passed over in the leadership change of 1976 when Jack Tonkin retired and a collateral casualty of the leadership change in 1981.

Widely respected minister for inter alia, forests and agriculture in the Tonkin and Burke governments and MLA for Warren 1968 to 1989. A good bloke.
