  • ELLIS (Gavin):

It's been a privilege to work with Gavin for the last six years. Fantastically capable, totally unflappable and full of joie de vivre. He loved the Great Southern and his humour, intelligence and irreverence are sorely missed.

To my big brother bear, bro, Gavvy, the most talented person I know. You were witty, funny, highly intelligent, sporty, creative, clever, cheeky and kind hearted. Always ready for a bit of fun and laughter. We had great times together.

Will miss you Gav. Rest well big brother in the Heavenly realms with Dad.

    Love always, Janine

Saddened to hear of Gav's passing and saddened too that Covid meant that I could not catch up to say goodbye. Gav was a special man to many.

A family man with a fiendish sense of humour, capable and loyal.

  • ELLIS GAVIN A pioneer in the plantation forestry industry, Gavin was well known and respected by all.

For me, Gavin was a very special friend and colleague.

He was kind, very clever, honest, caring and great fun.

All who worked with him would have wonderful memories of a man with a quick wit who kept us all laughing.

He was too young to go. My sincerest condolences to Penny and family. Helen Sewell.
