Obituary Guest Book 47 Messages

DULLARD (KIM HERBERT)

14.02.1954 - 29.04.2021 My best friend and husband for 46 years. So many good times and lovely memories. So lucky to have shared my life with you Kimbo. My heart will never be whole again. I'll miss you forever my love. Chrissie xx Beloved Dad to Alex and Bronte, Father-in-Law to Joan and Robin. Proud Poppy (alongside Gran) to Zayden, Jayla, Edeline and Elijah. A kind, sweet man gone too soon. He filled our lives with a love and happiness that is indescribable. Dad lived a life and showcased values that we can continue to aspire to. He wore his heart on his sleeve, literally. We love him and he will be remembered forever. One of a kind that we were incredibly lucky to have had in our lives.

For those wanting to send flowers, we would prefer if that money went to a really important charity such as Children's Cancer Institute

Finally our heartfelt thanks and love to the incredible staff from St John of God Hospital and Genesis Health Care.

We were so very sad to hear of Kim's recent passing. He was a wonderful principal at Woodlands PS and my boys adored him. He would play basketball with students before school and knew everybody's name. Even after he left Woodlands, he'd run into the boys at the lake or Bada Bing, and always stop to speak with them. My eldest would always comment, " ... and he still remembers my name!" My lasting memory of Kim will be of him, after he'd left Woodlands but had returned for a visit with staff, exiting the school one afternoon - and as he walked down the veranda, heading towards the carpark, the students were let out of class - and in a scene reminiscent of the old "Beatles" cartoon, he was chased off the premises by a mob of adoring students trailing after him, calling his name , "Mr Dullard, Mr Dullard..." He was the rock star of school principals!

Sincere condolences to his dear family, friends and colleagues.

It is with great sadness that I heard the news today of the passing of Kim. For me Kim was the best Principal that Middle Swan Primary School had in the time my children attended the school. He made the school a place where kids wanted to be and a school that parents were proud to be part of. His effect on that school, students and parents is everlasting. As a parent who worked closely with Kim through those years on a number of programs, his loyalty and love for the students and the school was never ending and infectious, and spread to anyone who made contact with. Thank you Kim for being a very important part of the growth of not only my Daughter's growth but also thousands of other kids lives you had a positive influence on over the years and your legacy will live on through them and their children for generations to come. Thank you from the Wainwright family of Stratton
