DRYDEN MICHAEL FRANCIS

(MICK OR BLUE)

Passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday the 12th June of 2020. Devoted and loving father of Rebecca. Big brother to Joe, kind and attentive uncle, and loyal friend to so many. He has left us with an enduring gift - a template for how to live a genuinely honest, decent, caring and generous life. He will be greatly missed.

Your message was profound. Your presence will be deeply missed.

We have lost (but Heaven has gained) One of The Best the world contained.

I love you Dad.

Farewell to my loving and caring Uncle and God Father. You were always there for me, as an Uncle and even more as my God Father, you fulfilled your role as a God Father to a Tee. You stepped in to take the place of my father, Robert John Dryden, on every occasion, from ensuring I was protected and cared for throughout my high school years and beyond, to giving me away at my wedding. Always caring, always loving and always the protector! I loved you then, I love you now, I will miss you and love you for-ever. You will always be in my heart. Your God Daughter forever, Edith May Kemp (nee Dryden).

Greatly saddened by the loss of my first Company Sergeant Major, WO2 'Blue' Dryden. A man who set an enduring example to all those that served with him. An ever the patient mentor to a young, cheeky and impressionable digger and then JNCO in SPT COY 16 RWAR. 'Sharp' when required but always there with the hand of support and guidance when needed. One of a kind. Thank you for all your support 'Sir', when I was starting out - I hope I can do justice to your memory as a Sergeant Major myself today in 16 RWAR. Stand Easy Blue... VIGILENT

Farewell to a great mentor and true friend. Blue was a big big man with an even bigger heart. One of the best man managers and life coaches you could ever have. Fond memories of his guidance, sense of humour and loud laugh.
