Dear Rod, your passing on the 1st of June 2021 has left us with great sadness. You are now where you have wanted to be for many years. Your choice of "no fuss cremation" will be followed with your ashes to be scattered on the ocean blue at a later time. At your retirement in 2003 and membership of the Maritime Heritage Association you kept yourself occupied in many research projects and writings. Fond memories of sailing on many decks, camping trips with son Dayle (now in Melbourne with his family), go karting with Wayne, a long time ago bottle club digging with Mark and Wayne and many friends.

Forever in my heart, Love Marilyn.

  • DICKSON (Rodney):

The world has lost a gentleman seaman. It was a great privilege to have sailed with you my friend. My deepest condolences to your family. Fair winds and following seas shipmate.
