Passed away peacefully on 20.06.2019, aged 88. Through his life, he helped so many people in big and small ways, and brought laughter to many more. Adored husband of Dot (dec) and Father of Ellen and Jenni, Father-in-Law of Hugh and Alan, and Pop to Grace and Max.

Such a kind human, pristine keeper of lawns, and forever in our hearts.

Uncle Jim was always my favourite. He was so kind and good humoured. I was sorry to be away from Perth for the funeral. All the very best to Ellen and Jenni.

Hello Ellen and Jenni. I worked with your Dad at Perth Technical College when I started there in 1985. He became my Head of Department and I have fond memories of our working relationship. Jim was always a kind and considerate man and helped me in so many ways as a lecturer new to the system. I cannot remember anyone on the staff who found any fault with the way Jim related to, and cared for, his staff. We were both parents and shared the hazards of raising teenagers come 20 year olds. Jim so obviously loved his "girls". I remember Jim telling me about, I think it was Jenni, going off to England and wanting to live in a thatched roof cottage. When he was holidaying in England himself he sent me a postcard from Chipping Norton because I had shared with him that some of Keith's rellies came from that area. I really wanted to attend his funeral today but a major plumbing incident put paid to that so I just wanted to let you know how much I admired and respected Jim and how much I appreciated his friendship all the help and kindness he showed to me.

What sad news. I am so grateful for the memories of that time all those years ago when Jim and Dot welcomed me (and Angela) into the family home in Labouchere Road.
