DEAGUE Neville

Obituary Guest Book 35 Messages

DEAGUE NEVILLE VERNON My heart is breaking to have to announce that on 5 March while swimming at Watermans Bay, my adored husband aged 70 years, died from a heart attack, despite prompt medical treatment. Together for 48 glorious years, he brought his kindness, ready laughter and joy to my world. He made my life worth living, my heart, my soul, my everything. A man of exceptional qualities, integrity, understanding and love. Missed immeasurably by me and all who knew him.

I always had a laugh when Kaye and Vernon came to my office to get their tax done. Vern with his serious face and Kaye always joking and laughing. Like his mum, Neville would always joke and laugh and was happy and full of life. He spoke to me about his retirement to come and came and saw me and shared with me his joy after retirement. He worked only minutes away from me in Belmont and if there was ever a time I needed to pick his brains he was only to happy to help. I was sad to hear of his passing and my condolences to Liz, family and friends.

  • DEAGUE NEVILLE VERNON To be taken so early and suddenly is heart wrenching for us. We are blessed with many cherished memories and couldn't have asked for a more loving and supportive father. A selfless soul with a beautiful nature and generous heart. So happy, so calm, so wise, such a comfort. He was there for us always, for the big moments and the little things, from climbing Mount Fuji, to enjoying meaningful breakfast conversations together. His smile, laughter and positive energy brightened up our lives daily and all of those around him. His unconditional love is a gift we will treasure forever.

  • DEAGUE NEVILLE Daddo. Grandie. Larger than life itself. Someone who you'd follow to the end of time because of the way he made you feel. A soul so loving, selfless and honorable, to family or stranger. Every day Dad set a standard of perfection, leaving an indelible mark on any life he touched. The original Boy Scout and gentleman. To us, he will always be our role model, and his laugh and sandcastles will live on through us forever. Love Cam, Ali, Sienna and Tyler. X

  • DEAGUE NEVILLE Such sad and devastating news. Neville was always the Dad when I worked at Belmont, and looked after all us planning girls. He was funny, kind, and generous. He created a family environment, challenged me, and supported my career. Everyone looked up to Neville just because of the amazing person that he was. He made us want to be better. Because he was.
