Nulsen has much to thank Edie for. In 1967 a courageous Edie, along with others, took the initiative and opened the Nulsen Haven Opportunity Shoppe.

Edie has been an integral part of Nulsen's development and survival through her role as a dedicated volunteer, raising considerable sums of money and creating awareness of disability. Month in and month out, Edie would man the desk and collect money from customers at the Op Shop, also doing whatever it took to keep the business running. Nulsen would not be where it is today if it was not for the income generated by the Op Shop.

We will never underestimate the impact Edie made on the lives of those we support. Thank you for the selfless work, love, time, support and contribution to people living with complex disabilities. Edie's legacy is etched in our history and culture and will never be forgotten.
